A man who red my book about my 130 days pilgrimage, asked me “What about pictures? I would like to see what you’ve seen”. So I decided to share these photos in “day by day” form, since I started from my home in Lublin, till I got to Santiago and Finisterra. There will be pictures from Poland, Germany, France and Spain. Just as I have walked.
So today is the day one (001) from my home town Lublin, to next – Nałęczów. It was about 30km long and I spent the night in a little convent. There are some pictures and a map of the journey that day.
I share those pictures through filckr, I hope that it will work. Buen Camino.
Pictures taken on the second day of my pilgrimage from Poland to Santiago in 2015.
This time from Naleczow to Janowiec in Poland. I crossed the Vistula River. Previously I visited the shrine of Virgin Mary in Wąwolnica. It was the first time in the evening that I had no place to sleep. It was cold, it was going to rain, and I had no tent
Third day of my pilgrimage from Poland to Santiago. I’ve walked from Janowiec to Zwolen. Unfortunately I almost didn’t make pictures. I was very scared if I find a place to sleep, because the day before I almost end up nowhere. But this time wonderful priest allowed me to stay on the floor in parish. So I was very grateful. There are only 3 pictures. A mess in my room in the morning, before I started to walk. Me and the road sign of Janowiec and the map of that day.
On the fourth day of my pilgrimage to Santiago I went from Zwolen to Skaryszew. I wanted to go to Radom, but the priest in Zwolen told me that in Skaryszew there was a parish of Sts. James the Apostle. So the chance that I find a place to sleep was bigger.
This day I still remember because it was unusual. Huge empty, vacant and quiet spaces. No presence, no sounds of any civilization. Conversations with the wind and leaves in the woods. Beautiful sun. Silence. March. Beautiful.
On the 5th day of my Camino, I walked 38 km from Skaryszew to Wieniawa. I ate a breakfast in the morning on a parish in Skaryszew and then I walked 11 hours to Wieniawa only drinking some water. At the end of the day I felt done, really bad. First time I saw what hunger means.
Unfortunately there are almost no pictures from this day. Only a map, an announcement of selling chickens and a bottle of water given to me by a priest from Skaryszew.
6th day of my Camino I walked from Wieniawa. I get up at 5:45. I intended to walk 8-10 hours. In the forest I hurt my ankle and almost cannot walk forward. The storm came and thunders were pounding less than 100 meters from me. I was scared and In pain. I get out from the forest but I cannot find a place to sleep anywhere. Not on the farms, not on the parish. No one allowed me to stay. I had to walk and walk though night in the rain till midnight in sum 47 km. At last I found a town with quite expensive hotel. I couldn’t walk next day.
