Below there are pictures from 72 day of my Camino in 2015. It was the day off, I walked only 18 km from Bénévent-l’Abbaye to Châtelus-le-Marcheix, so I treated that as a rest, time for recuperation.
I took a route that was nor the Camino way, nor main motor way. Just secondary, almost abandoned road. I met one car maybe for 20 minutes. Except that – loneliness, quiet, space and wind, and views for many kilometers in front of me.
We need such time, not only on pilgrimage, when we can be calm and take a rest, especially close to the nature. In Châtelus-le-Marcheix I met again pilgrims from Bénévent-l’Abbaye. I liked them and felt good among them.
Maybe this is kind of contradiction, that we want sometimes to be alone, just with wind, open views, space, trees. And sometimes we crave for a company, and we find such a joy being with others…
